Solid foundations for later life
It’s really important to us that children grow up with a positive attitude to visiting the dentist and to their dental health, early examinations allow the child to gain trust and therefore experience no fear of the dental team. We also aim to help them form good dental habits, as this will prevent problems with their teeth in later life.
Healthy eating and dietary analysis can often be extremely beneficial to ensuring future dental needs are reduced.
We recommend that you bring your child to your dental appointments from birth or as young as possible so that they grow up knowing that dental practices are a positive place to visit where they have nothing to fear. We would hope to have seen most children for their first examination before they are two years old.
We make every effort to ensure our younger patients feel especially welcome and do everything we can to make their visits as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. This is why we like to encourage their progress with fun rewards, such as lucky dip toys and stickers.
Solid foundations for later life – Help your child to keep a healthy smile by:
- Reduce sugary snacks and drinks including high sugar fruit juices and fizzy drinks
- Using a fluoride toothpaste.
- Visiting the dentist on a regular basis.
- Encouraging a positive dental routine; brush well, twice a day.
Fitting in with family life
We understand that it can be time consuming taking the whole family to the dentist. So to make your life easier, family members are welcome to attend at the same time. We offer late-night appointments, so families can visit together.
Prevention is always better than a cure, and regular check ups at Chapel House dentistry for your child are invaluable for halting tooth decay and gum disease, and maintaining a bright smile into adulthood.
